1st Great Bowden Brownies in Market Harborough recently held an Evening of Entertainment in honour of a former Brownie, Lois Peacock who has NPC.   The evening was a great success and raised over £200.

"Lois was a brownie with our pack until just over a year ago and when we read about her condition, diagnosis and prognosis in the Harborough Mail, we decided to have a fundraising event in aid of NPDG (UK).   When Lois was with us she was a very cheerful Brownie and therefore, we thought it appropriate for the Brownies to put on an "Evening of Entertainment".

The Brownies came up with many of the acts themselves, playing on various musical instruments including piano, keyboard, recorder and cornet. The other acts included tap dancing, ballet dancing, joke telling and of course singing. The evening proved to be a great success, with the Brownies thoroughly enjoying themselves and the audience asking when the next "Evening of Entertainment" would be! The Brownies were pleased to see Lois in the front row of the audience and I am sure her presence inspired them to put on a truly magnificent performance."
