Hope for Hannah Charity Golf Day and Evening Masquerade Ball
Hope for Hannah Charity Golf Day and Evening Masquerade Ball
By Janet Holmes/Richard Fisher
What a relief to wake up to a lovely sunny day in Glossop!
The golfers had a splendid day and the winners of the competition donated their prize back for auction - a fantastic gesture which raised £80.00.
The evening started off with a champagne reception followed by 4 course meal and fantastic live entertainment supplied by our friends from Ireland - Sean de Burca and Gary Quinn and Disco by Pete another of our friends. It was great to see that so many had entered into the spirit of the evening with their many colourful masks.
Carl Burdon kindly helped out with organising on the night, with the auction and raffle (which helped reduce our stress levels somewhat!) and a fantastic night was had by all, with some staying 'til the wee small hours of the morning and many I'm sure waking up with very sore heads! I've received many requests for "the same again" next year!!
Everyone’s hard work and generosity helped us to raise the grand sum of £8,000.00.
Thank you to all who contributed their time and money, there are too many to mention, to the "Hope for Hannah" Campaign on behalf of Niemann Pick Disease Group (UK).
