Mathew Jellings' Three Peak Challenge

On 21st and 22nd June Mathew Jellings (son to former Trustee and Board Member, Tony Jellings) and a team of five other friends took part in the Three Peaks Challenge. Each member raised money for their own particular charity. Mathew raised a sum of £2000 (plus gift aid) for the Niemann-Pick Disease Group (UK).
The challenge involved climbing the three peaks within 24 hours – Ben Nevis (4,409 ft) Scafell Pike (3,210 ft) and Snowdon (3560 ft). Mathew and his team completed the challenge in 22hours and 10 minutes winning bronze medals. They walked a total distance of 25 miles, drove 450 miles between mountains and climbed a total of over 11,000ft.
