CEREBRA is a charity set up to help improve the lives of children with brain related conditions through research, education and directly supporting children and their carers to improve their lives and help them be comfortable with their world, giving them the chances for experiences and enjoyment that all children should have.  

 

 

Children's Hospices UK is the national charity that gives voice and support to all children's hospice services. Their vision is for every child and young person who is not expected to reach adulthood and their family to have access to the highest standards of children's hospice care and support close to home. 

 

 

 

Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases (CLIMB) is committed to fighting metabolic diseases through research, awareness and support.  They are the UK's only dedicated organisation to provide information and support on all metabolic diseases to children, adults, families, carers and professionals. 

 

 

Contact a Family are the only UK-wide charity providing advice, information and support to the parents of all disabled children. 

 

 

Eurodis Rare Diseases Europe is a non-governmental patient-driven alliance of rare disease patient organisations representing more than 423 rare disease patient organisations in over 43 countries.   Eurordis also plays an important role in the orphan drug development process through its participation in the Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products (COMP) at the EMEA (European Medicines Agency).

 

Every Disabled Child Matters (EDCM) is the campaign to get rights and justice for every disabled child.  EDCM is a consortium campaign run by four of the leading organisations working with disabled children and their families: Contact a Family, the Council for Disabled Children, Mencap and the Special Educational Consortium. Between them, the campaign partners represent over 770,000 disabled children and young people in the UK.

 

 

 

Fledglings is a national charity which aims to assist parents and carers of disabled children, or those with additional needs of any kind, by identifying, sourcing and supplying practical, affordable products to address every day issues.  Their approach is to focus on finding solutions to difficulties which arise as a consequence of the disability, rather than on the disability itself.
