Regular Donations
Standing Order
Regular gifts are vital to the NPDG (UK) in order to sustain key areas of our work. The security of knowing that a donation will be coming in every month allows us to plan for the future and invest in important services, such as employing our Clinical Nurse Specialist. If you live in the UK, you may be able to increase your donations by 28% through the Gift Aid scheme
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving - sometimes known as Give As You Earn - is a really easy way to make regular, tax-free donations to the NPDG (UK).
Providing your employer offers a Payroll Giving scheme, you can give a regular amount straight from your monthly or weekly income. Each time you're paid, the amount agreed by you is deducted by your Payroll Department, and sent to the Charity. There is nothing more for you to do. And, If you are in the UK, your donation will be even bigger at no further cost to you, thanks to the Government adding the tax on as an extra donation.
For example, if you pledge to give £10 a month, and pay tax at the basic rate, what it actually costs you is £7.80 and the taxman makes up the remaining £2.20. These benefits are even greater if you pay tax at the higher rate.
How do I donate?
Ask your Payroll Department whether or not your company offers the scheme. If they do, then decide how much you would like to give each time you are paid.
